The Secret To A Healthy Diet

I'm going to let you all in on a little secret to a healthy diet. It's simple, it's tasty, and most of all it's something that we can all do! Now, we all know that keeping active is an important factor in maintaining a healthy body-weight. Sitting on your butt all day will get you nowhere, and fast.

With that being said, there's something you should know. Are you ready for it? It's the one true way that we can all be healthy. You can't order it from the back of a magazine, so you'll actually have to go into the store to get it. (Hey, there's a way to get you up and moving! Grocery shopping counts as physical activity too!)

Here's the secret. Well, part of the secret. It's this stuff:

Eat a LOT of this stuff pictured above, and you will be on the path to having a healthy life! (There's also a bunch of other things in the same section of these things in the grocery store! Eat those too.) And while you're picking up some of that stuff up there, pick up some whole grains too!

Make Smart Switches

Every time you want a chocolate bar, stick a carrot in your hand and eat that instead. Carrots are sweet. Want a bag of chips? Boil a few small yellow-flesh potatoes and sprinkle a pinch of sea salt and black pepper on them. Feel like some dairy-based ranch dip with your carrots and celery? Try switching the dip for some home made hummus! Feel up for a big glass of milk? I'd switch that out for a tall glass of unsweetened vanilla almond milk. Skip the sugar and milk in your tea, and truly enjoy the flavour of the tea leaves that you have steeping in your hot water! Want a sweet, cold beverage? Put the pop away, it'll just give you a pasty mouth and make you more thirsty. Try adding some orange or lemon slices into a tall, cold glass of water! Need more flavour? Add 1/4 cup of 100% fruit juice to your water. No artificial junk in there!

See? I told you it was simple. I'll post some more in-depth ways you can make smart switches soon! That's all for now.
