Then workout at home!
I knew I wouldn't have time to commute to the gym today, so I decided to do a workout at home that is possible to do without gym equipment. I threw in a few moves from P90X because they're pretty darn good. Today I did this series twice, normally I'd want to do it three times, but ran out of time.
[Note: this is not a how-to, or a fitness plan in any way. I'm just posting a routine I like to follow a few times each week. If you'd like a how-to, let me know and I'll draw some cute little diagrams to show how to do each exercise... Or you can go to Google or YouTube of course. :) ]
Today's At-Home Workout
Repeat the following series 2-3 times:
Triceps kick backs - 12-15
Bench dips 12-15
Over head triceps extensions 12-15
Triceps pushups (diamond pushups) - maximum reps
Plank - 60 seconds
Dumbbell straight arm pullback - 12-15
Shoulder pull up - 20
Wide front push ups - maximum reps
Plank - 60 seconds
Swimmers press - 12-15
Stationary alternating one armed bicep curls - 20 (alternating 4 at a time)
Curl up - hammer down - 12-15
Wide front pull down - with bands - maximum reps
Standing squatted row - with bands (bands in same position as pull downs) - maximum reps
Side plank 30 seconds per side
Plank - 60 seconds
Squats - 30
Sneaky lunges - 12
60 second Wall squat
3 way calf raises (15 slow/10 fast for each of the 3 positions: feet pointed out, feet straight, feet pointed out)
Standing shoulder flys - 15
Corkscrew curls - 12-15
Plank - 60 seconds
Hip raise/butt squeeze - 15
Stretch
