Today's Smoothie - Hidden Green

I've been slacking off with writing about the fitness progress, mainly because I haven't seen much progress and came down with a disgusting cold. (I rarely ever get sick anymore, how could this be?!)
I'm gradually picking it back up though, and going to step up my game this week because I realized it's almost 2 months until the Tough Mudder.
Today I'm still nursing a bit of a cold, so I needed something with some greens and energy and all that other great stuff!
Today's smoothie is a hidden green smoothie, and made my tummy very happy. If you're not a fan of green smoothies because of the bold taste of greens, or you just don't like drinking green liquid (why not?!), this will be a perfect one for you! :)

Today's Smoothie: Hidden Green

Ingredients:

  • 8 kale leaves (leafy parts only, no stems! For a lighter flavour, you can take the smaller kale leaves, but then you should add more because they're smaller.)
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1/4 cup pomegranate juice (no "juice blends", get the real stuff!)
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/2 tbsp almond butter
  • 1 tbsp cacao powder
  • 1 tsp maca powder
  • 1 tsp chlorella powder
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • pinch freshly ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Method
  • Blend all, drink it down! :) 
Mmmmm.... This is just too good not to share! The recipe makes a massive serving, and I'm surprised how fast I drank it...
